Glizzly Privacy Policy

Glizzly ("the app") is a hot dog tracking app for Android. This page explains what data the app accesses and how it is used.

Data stored on your device

Everything you log in Glizzly — counts, timestamps, optional notes, optional photos, and optional locations — is stored only on your device, in a local database. The developer never receives, collects, or has access to this data. It is never uploaded to a server.

Data sent over the network

Glizzly uses Google Maps Platform for two optional, map-related features. When used, these send the following to Google:

• Map tiles — when you open the Map tab, the visible map area is sent to Google Maps to download tile images.
• "Spots" search — when you open the Spots layer or tap "Search this area", your current map coordinates and a search query ("hot dogs") are sent to the Google Places API to find nearby hot dog restaurants and stands.

Both are subject to Google's Privacy Policy. Glizzly does not add any analytics, advertising, or tracking of its own.

Permissions

• Location (optional) — used to center the map on you and to find nearby hot dog spots, and to attach a location to a log if you enable "Include map data". You can use Glizzly fully without granting this.
• Camera (optional) — used to attach a photo to a log. Photos are stored only on your device.
• Notifications (optional) — used for the daily streak-saver reminder, if enabled.

Deleting your data

Open Glizzly → Settings → Clear all data to permanently delete every log, photo, and setting from your device.

Children's privacy

Glizzly is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them (it does not collect data from anyone — see above).

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
